Synopsis
Lisa and the Devil (1973) is Mario Bava's gothic horror, yours to watch online on iFILM. A tourist named Lisa gets lost in an old Spanish city and wanders into a mansion where time seems to have stopped.
The house is crowded with life-sized mannequins, and its butler is a bald, lollipop-sucking Leandro — Telly Savalas, two years before the same candy habit made him famous as Kojak. The owners mistake Lisa for a woman long dead. Dream, memory and decay bleed together until Elke Sommer's heroine can no longer tell which residents are breathing and which have been in their coffins for years.
Bava shot the film as a pure nightmare with no duty to plot, which spooked its producers — they later recut it into The House of Exorcism, padding it out with tacked-on possession scenes.
