Synopsis
Police Academy 5: Assignment Miami Beach (1988) is a crime comedy you can watch online on iFILM. The squad of bumbling cops flies to Florida, where Commandant Lassard is set to collect a lifetime achievement award before retirement.
The trip goes sideways fast. Lassard accidentally walks off with a stash of diamonds from a jewel heist, and the thieves trail him across the city to get them back. The usual faces handle the rescue: sound-effects whiz Jones, the towering Hightower, screechy Hooks, and trigger-happy Tackleberry. Expect speedboat chases, beach mishaps, and a vacation that falls apart in slow motion.
This fifth entry in the 80s franchise is the first without Steve Guttenberg, though it keeps the same broad gag-a-minute style, with George Gaynes back as Lassard.
