Simple Men

Simple Men (1992) is an indie road film from Hal Hartley — watch online on iFILM. Two brothers: mild-mannered Dennis and the aggressively woman-hating Bill. Their father, a one-time radical who tried to blow up the Pentagon, is somewhere on the run from the law, and the brothers are going to find him.

Their motorcycle dies in a small town, and the mission quietly derails into something else — flirtations, standoffs, conversations that circle without resolving. Robert John Burke and Bill Sage play the brothers with Hartley's deliberately off-beat delivery, every line a half-beat removed from natural speech.
