Entrepreneur Jared Isaacman bought the seats and gave the rest away. Flying with him: Hayley Arceneaux, a childhood-cancer survivor who became a physician assistant at the hospital that treated her; Sian Proctor, a geoscientist and pilot; and Christopher Sembroski, an engineer who landed his spot almost by chance. Three days circling Earth, centrifuge runs, suit fittings, fear and elation — all of it filmed up close, well past the polished press-release version.

The series comes from Jason Hehir, the same filmmaker behind The Last Dance. Episodes dropped almost in step with the real training schedule, so the finale played like live coverage.
