Æon Flux (1991) is Peter Chung's animated sci-fi action series, free to watch online on iFILM. A virus has wiped out almost everyone, and what's left splits into two warring states.

Æon is an agent of Monica, a loose anarchist society. Lean, acrobatic and lethal, she slips into the rival police state of Bregna to sabotage its regime. Running that regime is Trevor Goodchild — her enemy on some missions, her lover on others. The early shorts kill her off in nearly every episode, then bring her back with no explanation, daring you to make sense of it.

Chung built the show for MTV's Liquid Television block, and its jagged angles, near-wordless storytelling and fetishistic design turned it into a late-night cult favorite.
