Love in Thoughts (Was nützt die Liebe in Gedanken, 2004) is a German drama you can watch online on iFILM — director Achim von Borries' account of a real 1927 pact, with Daniel Brühl and August Diehl in the leads.

Günther and Paul have sworn an oath: when love is gone, they die — and whoever took it dies with them. Four days at a country estate with Günther's sister Hilde, cheap wine and mounting tension between everyone involved. Von Borries keeps the camera close and refuses to romanticise any of it; the film turns quietly suffocating as the pact stops feeling like bravado and starts feeling inevitable.
