High schooler Josuke Higashikata (Kento Yamazaki) is the secret illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar, and he carries a fighting spirit called a Stand named Crazy Diamond. When marine biologist Jotaro Kujo arrives looking for him, the two discover they share more than blood. People are vanishing across Morioh, and a growing number of residents have awakened bizarre powers of their own. Every quiet street corner hides another Stand user, and not all of them mean well.
Miike leans into Araki's flamboyant logic — outrageous poses, surreal duels, that signature swagger — and largely keeps it intact. Manga readers get the references; newcomers get a workable door into the JoJo universe. The cast also includes Ryunosuke Kamiki, Mackenyu Arata and Nana Komatsu.
