Synopsis
Crows Zero (クローズZERO, 2007) is a Japanese action film from director Takashi Miike — watch online on iFILM. Suzuran High has never had a king. Generation after generation of students have fought for total dominance, and generation after generation the throne has stayed empty. The school runs on violence the way other schools run on timetables.
Two rivals collide this time around. Serizawa, played by Takayuki Yamada, has held the top position through sheer intimidation for years. Genji, played by Shun Oguri, arrives as an outsider with yakuza connections and something to prove. The film is based on Hiromi Takahashi's manga and traces both men's paths through betrayals, shifting alliances and a series of fights staged with deliberate brutality — no slow-motion glamour, just the physical logic of who hits harder.
Miike strips the school-brawler genre of anything soft. What remains is a blunt study of hierarchy and, occasionally, loyalty that lands harder for being surrounded by so much brutality. Stream Crows Zero online on iFILM.
