Unforgiven

Unforgiven (2018) is a Russian historical drama directed by Sarik Andreasyan — watch online on iFILM. The film follows structural engineer Vitaly Kaloyev (Dmitry Nagiev), whose wife and children were aboard a Bashkir Airlines flight that collided with a cargo plane over Lake Constance in the summer of 2002. He was the one to find them at the crash site.

For two years Kaloyev sought answers from the company whose controller had been working alone that night. The Swiss side stalled. In 2004 he flew to Zürich — not to file a complaint. Andreasyan frames the story as grief rather than revenge, and Nagiev carries that weight with almost no dialogue. A cold, controlled film that earns the tagline: "I've Given Up On God."
