Garrett Tully walks out of Pelican Bay State Prison after fourteen years in isolation — a committed Aryan Brotherhood member who kills a highway patrolman within hours of his release. On the run, he forces his way into a family's home off a dirt road. The family is Black. The patriarch — played by Danny Glover — is an ex-con who cut ties with his own son for joining the police force. He won't let anyone call for help. Joe Anderson plays Tully, with Julie Benz as his girlfriend, Mahershala Ali in an early role, and Derek Luke rounding out the cast.
