Synopsis
Saint Laurent (2014) is a biographical drama directed by Bertrand Bonello — watch online on iFILM. The film takes the decade from 1967 to 1976: the years when Yves Saint Laurent was both at the height of his creative power and quietly dismantling himself with alcohol, pills, and the relentless circuit of Parisian and Marrakech nights. Gaspard Ulliel plays him not as a monument but as a man cracking at the edges.
Bonello isn't interested in a tidy career overview. The film drifts between the atelier, candlelit parties, and the paintings Saint Laurent obsessed over, with Jérémie Renier as partner Pierre Bergé, Louis Garrel as destructive lover Jacques de Bascher, and Léa Seydoux as a house model who watches it all. At 150 minutes the pacing is as unhurried as the fashion house's silhouettes — this is a film that wants you inside the decade, not just informed about it. Stream Saint Laurent (2014) on iFILM.
