Synopsis
A Boss in the Living Room (Un boss in salotto, 2014) is an Italian comedy directed by Luca Miniero — watch it online on iFILM. Her brother Ciro (Rocco Papaleo) turns out to have spent those same fifteen years as a mob figure, and now faces trial. His one request: serve house arrest at his sister's place in the suburbs. Cristina agrees under protest. Ciro arrives covered in tattoos and gold chains, operates entirely on Sicilian-street rules, and finds the polite northern lifestyle both baffling and vaguely insulting. Her husband and kids don't know what to make of him. The neighbours definitely don't.
Miniero keeps the comedy grounded in the gap between two very real Italian worlds rather than playing either side for mockery.
