Synopsis
Reach Me (2014), John Herzfeld's sprawling drama, is ready to watch online on iFILM. It all turns on a slim self-help book written by a hermit ex-football coach. Whoever reads it walks away convinced the author was speaking straight to them.
A reporter chases the man no one has ever photographed. An ex-con tries to stay clean. Sylvester Stallone plays the coach, surrounded by Kyra Sedgwick, Thomas Jane, Tom Berenger, Kelsey Grammer, Danny Trejo, Terry Crews and rapper Nelly.
A huge ensemble crammed into a small, earnest movie about whether people can really change. It plays it sincere rather than slick — closer to a sunnier, looser cousin of Magnolia.
