Synopsis

Shanghai, 1908. Japanese occupation. Chen Zhen comes home to his kung fu school and finds his master dead. The local authorities won't act. A rival Japanese dojo is responsible — and bold enough to keep humiliating the Chinese students. Chen Zhen doesn't file a complaint. He settles it himself.
The film is one of the handful of titles that made Bruce Lee a global icon: the footwork, the speed, the raw impact that the camera barely keeps up with. A young Jackie Chan appears in a small role.
