Synopsis

Pedro Infante, the biggest star of Mexican cinema at the time, leads a cast that includes Blanca Estela Pavón, young Evita Muñoz and Katy Jurado.
The picture launched Rodríguez's trilogy about the urban poor and became a touchstone of Mexico's golden age of film. Pepe El Toro is widely held up as Infante's finest role.
