Synopsis
Long Shot (2017) is a true-crime documentary short you can watch online on iFILM. Juan Catalan, a working-class dad from Los Angeles, sits in jail for a murder he swears he never committed — and prosecutors want the death penalty.
His alibi sounds hopeless: he was at a Dodgers game with his daughter that night. Then his lawyer notices something. An HBO comedy crew had been filming at that same stadium, and Catalan's face might be buried somewhere in their raw footage. Director Jacob LaMendola lays the real case out reel by reel, like a detective story where the camera turns out to be the only honest witness. Forty minutes, zero filler.
