Luluco is a middle-schooler in Ogikubo, a patch of the Milky Way where humans and aliens share the same streets. Then a mysterious transfer student, ΑΩ Nova, shows up and first love turns out to be very bad for job performance.

The show doubles as a love letter to TRIGGER's own back catalogue, tossing in blink-and-miss-it nods to their earlier hits.
