About
Synopsis
Heckler (2007) is a comedic documentary you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Michael Addis. The premise: after appearing in a film that drew some of the most vicious reviews of his career, Jamie Kennedy decided to make a movie about where criticism ends and cruelty begins.
Kennedy interviews George Lucas, Lewis Black, Dave Attell, Rob Zombie, Uwe Boll, Howie Mandel, and dozens more who have been on the receiving end of public derision. The film moves fast and gets deliberately one-sided — Kennedy is not pretending to be neutral. What it lands on is sharper than a comedian's complaint: a genuine question about whether contempt-driven criticism is criticism at all. Stream Heckler (2007) on iFILM.
