Synopsis

Beaver wants a bike. To impress his dad he tries out for the school football team, makes it, and promptly humiliates himself in front of everyone. Then the bike he finally gets is stolen almost overnight. While that unfolds, big brother Wally tangles himself in his pal Eddie Haskell's crush on classmate Karen — except Karen has eyes for Wally instead, and the friendship starts to crack. The film resurrects a gentler kind of storytelling, where a lost bicycle and a blush in the schoolyard count as real crises and a family dinner usually fixes them.
