Synopsis
Steam: The Turkish Bath (Hamam, 1997) is the debut drama from director Ferzan Özpetek, available to watch online on iFILM. Francesco, a Rome-based designer, learns that an aunt he barely knew has left him an old hamam in Istanbul.
He flies to Turkey planning a quick sale, but the city has other ideas. Özpetek opens his career with a film about a foreign place quietly rewriting a man — unhurried rhythms, steam, marble and Ottoman tilework.
