Hell

Watch Hell (2011) online on iFILM — a German-Swiss post-apocalyptic thriller directed by Tim Fehlbaum. The sun did not burn out. It flared. By 2016 the surface is a scorched wasteland, water is almost gone, and the people who made it this far are either desperate or dangerous, and often both.

Marie (Hannah Herzsprung), her younger sister Leonie (Lisa Vicari), and their friend Phillip are driving toward the mountains where water is rumored to exist. They pick up Tom (Lars Eidinger), a capable mechanic who may or may not be trustworthy. When the group is ambushed, the heat stops being the biggest threat.

Fehlbaum shot on location across sun-blasted European landscapes with almost no CGI — bleached skies, cracked ground, a camera that stays uncomfortably close. The film runs eighty-nine minutes and does not waste a single one of them. Stream Hell (2011) online on iFILM.
