Synopsis
Turks & Caicos (2014) is a British spy thriller written and directed by David Hare you can watch online on iFILM. Former MI5 analyst Johnny Worricker is lying low on the Caribbean islands under a false name — until a shadowy American slides into the seat beside him and quietly wrecks his peace.
Bill Nighy is back as Worricker, and his weary wit sets the whole mood. The stranger (Christopher Walken) draws him into a circle of American businessmen who claim to be there for a conference on the global financial crisis. By morning, one of them is dead. Their financial PR woman knows far more than she admits, and the threads run straight back to Downing Street and Prime Minister Alec Beasley. Once again Worricker has to work out whom to trust just to stay alive.
This is the middle chapter of Hare's Johnny Worricker trilogy, between Page Eight and Salting the Battlefield. Nighy is surrounded by a rare cast — Winona Ryder, Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter. It is slow, talky, and far more about politics and betrayal than chases, made for anyone who likes old-school spy storytelling. Stream Turks & Caicos (2014) online on iFILM.
