Synopsis
Two of Us (Deux, 2020) — watch online on iFILM, a French drama directed by Filippo Meneghetti about two women who have been secret partners for over twenty years.
Nina (Barbara Sukowa) and Madeleine (Martine Chevallier) live across the landing from each other. To their families and neighbors: acquaintances, nothing more. Madeleine has promised Nina she'll finally tell her grown children the truth — they're leaving for Rome, the city where they met. Then something happens, and the wall between their two front doors becomes the cruelest possible barrier.
Meneghetti's debut took the César for Best First Film in 2021. It's a small, controlled picture — very little dialogue, mostly looks and silences, and a slow accumulation of the sense that time runs out before honesty does. Stream Two of Us online on iFILM.
