Synopsis
Madaari (2016) is an Indian political thriller directed by Nishikant Kamat — stream it online on iFILM. Irrfan Khan plays a man who takes the law apart by hand because he couldn't get it to work for him.
The son of India's Home Minister goes missing from a summer camp in Dehradun. For weeks the kidnapper stays silent — no ransom, no demands. When he finally speaks, the ask is not money. His own son died because of decisions made in government offices, and the people responsible walked free. He wants them in court. CBI agent Naik, played by Jimmy Shergill, races to find the boy while slowly beginning to understand why the man did what he did.
Irrfan Khan built the performance almost entirely from restraint. What starts as a kidnapping thriller turns into a slow-burn argument about what happens when institutions fail the people they're supposed to protect. Watch Madaari (2016) online on iFILM.
