Altitude

Altitude (2010) is a Canadian-American horror thriller from director Kaare Andrews that you can watch online on iFILM. A small propeller plane carrying five teenagers hits a mechanical fault on takeoff and locks into an uncontrolled climb through an impenetrable layer of cloud. Jessica Lowndes plays Sara, a student pilot on her first real flight with friends aboard.

When the group wrestles back partial control, the instruments say they should have hit the ground hours ago — but the plane just keeps drifting deeper into fog. Then something starts moving outside the fuselage. Andrews uses the cramped cockpit as a pressure cooker and layers in a supernatural element that sets the film apart from standard teens-in-peril territory.
