Synopsis
Kickin' It Old Skool (2007) is a goofy comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Back in 1986, twelve-year-old breakdancer Justin wipes out at a school talent show, cracks his head and slips into a coma for two whole decades.
He wakes up as a 32-year-old (Jamie Kennedy) with the brain of an '80s kid still fully intact. His parents are drowning in debt, his childhood crush is about to marry someone else, and breakdancing is a punchline now. So Justin sets out to reunite his old crew and spin his way back onto the floor. Maria Menounos plays the crush, Michael Rosenbaum and Miguel Núñez are the boyhood friends, and David Hasselhoff turns up as himself.
This is a featherweight spoof of '80s nostalgia — all parachute pants, boomboxes and jokes aimed below the belt. Nobody will call it great cinema, but as a dumb feel-good night in it does the job. Stream Kickin' It Old Skool online on iFILM.
