Synopsis
Shotgun Stories (2007) is an American drama you can watch online on iFILM — Jeff Nichols' debut feature, starring Michael Shannon, set among cotton fields and dirt roads in southeast Arkansas. When the father of two separate families dies, his sons from each marriage show up at the same funeral and the space between them collapses fast.
Son, Boy, and Kid grew up knowing their father abandoned them. The other set of brothers grew up knowing he changed. Both things are true. One moment at the graveside is enough to start it, and once started, neither side can find a way to be the one who stops first. Shannon plays Son with almost no visible emotion — just a jaw-set stillness that makes his few lines land like stones.
