Synopsis
Inspector Montalbano (Il Commissario Montalbano, 1999) is an Italian crime drama you can watch online on iFILM — produced by RAI and adapted from Andrea Camilleri's long-running detective novels. Luca Zingaretti plays Commissario Salvo Montalbano, the head of police in the fictional Sicilian town of Vigata.

His squad includes the dependable Inspector Fazio and the endearing Catarella, who mispronounces every name with equal confidence and would never admit it matters. Alberto Sironi directed the series for years without losing his grip on tone. The Sicilian landscape — bleached walls, the hard glare off the sea, a pace of life that conceals old scores — functions as a collaborator rather than a backdrop.
