Lala grows up in a wealthy Buenos Aires neighborhood. Ailín works as her maid. They are in love and share one plan: disappear together to a quiet lake in Paraguay, away from everything. Then Lala's father is killed. Ailín ends up in custody, and the story starts moving backwards — through interrogations, fragments, a love affair that was always shadowed by something worse.
