Basket Case (1982) is Frank Henenlotter's cult exploitation horror you can watch online on iFILM. Duane Bradley (Kevin Van Hentenryck) checks into a dingy Times Square hotel with a locked wicker basket and very specific business to handle in the city. The basket contains his brother Belial — a small, grotesquely deformed twin who was surgically removed from Duane's side against both brothers' will.
They're here for the doctors who did it. Belial handles the revenge end of things with surprising ferocity for something that fits in a basket. Duane, meanwhile, meets a receptionist at one of the clinics and starts wanting a life that has nothing to do with murder — which Belial has no interest in accommodating.
Shot on a shoestring across midtown Manhattan and Times Square at its seediest, the film launched a trilogy and became a touchstone for low-budget American horror.
