Synopsis
The Living Dead Girl (La morte vivante, 1982) is a French horror film by Jean Rollin you can watch online on iFILM. Someone dumps chemical drums in the cellar of a crumbling family estate. The toxins seep into the crypt, and Catherine — buried two years earlier — opens her eyes.
Her body never decayed, but nothing human is left inside, only hunger. Her childhood friend Hélène (Marina Pierro) isn't horrified by the reunion; she's overjoyed, and starts luring victims to feed the woman she refuses to lose again. Françoise Blanchard plays the dead girl almost wordlessly, with a stare and blood-soaked hands.
Rollin wasn't after a gore ride. He shaped a slow, mournfully beautiful fable about love that won't let go, even past the grave. Gothic mood over jump scares. Stream The Living Dead Girl (1982) online on iFILM.
