Synopsis
Corrections Class (Класс коррекции, 2014) is a debut Russian drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Ivan I. Tverdovskiy. Lena is a sharp teenager with a disability who has spent years studying at home; finally getting to school, she lands in the correction class — a holding pen for students the system can't be bothered with.
The teachers have no interest in reaching these kids. Lena pursues harder material anyway and falls quietly for classmate Anton. That small, ordinary happiness turns out to be more than the school can tolerate. Maria Poezhayeva plays her without a trace of victimhood, which is exactly why the film cuts so deep — you're watching someone functional get ground down by design.
