Blackbird

The community treats it as a Columbine-level threat. Connor Jessup plays Sean with quiet desperation as police, teachers, and neighbours close ranks against him — before anyone stops to ask whether the words were real. Alexia Fast co-stars as the unlikely classmate who briefly refuses to join the panic. The film is less about what Sean intended and more about how fast a small town can become a closed, self-reinforcing system. What makes it land is that nobody in it is simply a villain.
