Synopsis
"I Am Nevenka" (Soy Nevenka, 2024) is a Spanish drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director Icíar Bollaín reconstructs a real trial from 2000: a 24-year-old finance councillor from Ponferrada brings the city mayor to court for harassment — the first case of its kind in Spanish legal history.
Nevenka Fernández takes on a politician with institutional weight, a loyal following and every incentive to discredit her. Her family urges silence. The local press runs her through a public inquisition before any hearing begins. Mireia Oriol plays her without overstatement, and that restraint makes what unfolds on screen harder to watch, not easier.
