Utama (2022) is a meditative Bolivian drama you can watch online on iFILM. Virginio stubbornly hides that his health is failing. When their grandson arrives urging them to move, the rift only widens — between generations, between what was and what is coming. Cinematographer Barbara Alvarez turns the cracked plateau, the dust and the reddish light into a character of its own.

The debut feature from Alejandro Loayza Grisi casts non-professional actors from the local communities, which is exactly why every frame feels lived-in rather than staged.
