Synopsis
City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes (2019) is a feature-length anime — part action, part comedy, part detective caper — and you can watch online on iFILM. Ryo Saeba still works the streets of Tokyo as the sweeper-for-hire of Shinjuku, settling lethal jobs with his Colt Python whenever he isn't chasing after every pretty woman in sight.
This time a young bodyguard client turns out to be the daughter of a murdered scientist, and protecting her drags Ryo into an arms-dealing conspiracy. Kaori keeps yanking him back to earth with her trusty hammer, while familiar faces from the franchise drop in right where longtime fans want them. Director Kenji Kodama revived Tsukasa Hojo's manga more than two decades after the original run, keeping Akira Kamiya in the booth and the late-eighties art style intact.
