Synopsis
The Tribes of Palos Verdes (2017) is an American drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by brothers Brendan and Emmett Malloy and based on Joy Nicholson's 1997 novel. Maika Monroe stars as Medina Mason, with Jennifer Garner, Cody Fern, and Justin Kirk.
The Mason family relocates from Ohio to the cliffs above the Pacific — a picture-postcard California town where the waves are perfect and the social hierarchy is brutal. Dad leaves for another woman. Mom unravels. Medina turns invisible at school while her twin brother Jim slides easily into the local crew. The two take up surfing to escape the house, but the beach belongs to an established tribe that doesn't share. Alicia Silverstone and Goran Visnjic round out the supporting cast.
