Synopsis

Kara Wai plays the matriarch with glacial control, while Vicky Chen is the grandchild who sees everything and says nothing.
Director Yang Ya-che builds a female answer to the gangster saga, serving the poison in porcelain. The film took the Golden Horse for Best Feature, and its actresses walked off with the acting prizes. Cruel, gorgeously toxic cinema for anyone who likes their intrigue bloodless and precise.
