Synopsis
"I Sell the Dead" (2008) is a pitch-black horror comedy from director Glenn McQuaid, free to watch online on iFILM. Eighteenth-century London. Two grave robbers dig up the freshly buried and sell them to an aristocratic doctor who never asks where the goods came from. Easy money — right up until the coffins start holding things far worse than corpses.
The night before his date with the guillotine, Arthur Blake (Dominic Monaghan) lays out his whole crooked life to a priest, Father Duffy (Ron Perlman). How he fell in with veteran ghoul Willie Grimes (Larry Fessenden). How a simple body-snatching racket spiralled into a run-in with vampires, the walking dead, and a rival gang that plays even dirtier.
Eighty-five lean minutes of gallows humor and obvious affection for old creature features. McQuaid isn't chasing scares; he's spinning a nasty campfire yarn where rot and laughter share the same breath. One for viewers who miss horror with a personality instead of jump-scares.
