Home (2008) is Ursula Meier's drama, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Isabelle Huppert and Olivier Gourmet lead a story about a family of five living in a lone house beside an abandoned stretch of highway — until the day the road finally opens.

While the asphalt sat empty, it was an extension of their yard: the kids played street hockey across the lanes, the parents sunbathed on the shoulder. Then the crews arrive, the lines go down, and an endless river of cars starts roaring past the windows day and night. Marthe, the mother, refuses to leave. Bit by bit she seals the house off — plugging gaps, taping over glass, walling her family in against a world that has literally driven straight through their lives.

Meier shoots it almost wordlessly from a single vantage point, and the simple premise swells into a suffocating fable about how far a person will go to defend their patch of ground.
