Brian Jordan Alvarez plays Evan and also created the show and directed some of it. Every episode hands him a fresh trap: parents furious about a lesson, Gen Z students flipping a rule inside out, an administration begging him not to rock the boat. A sharp ensemble surrounds him — Stephanie Koenig, Enrico Colantoni, Langston Kerman. The humour runs dry, the dialogue moves fast, and the cringe is honed to a fine point.
