Wonderland

Wonderland (2024) is a South Korean science-fiction drama worth watching online on iFILM. A service called Wonderland lets people video-call the ones they've lost: an AI rebuilds a dead or comatose person so faithfully that the conversation feels real.

Flight attendant Jung-in calls her "restored" boyfriend Tae-joo every day while his real body lies in a coma, growing used to a flawless, endlessly gentle version of him. Then the actual Tae-joo wakes up, and the living man turns out colder and more complicated than his copy. In a parallel thread, a mother named Bai Li becomes a voice in an app for her small daughter, caught between comfort and quiet self-deception.

Director Kim Tae-yong assembles a rare ensemble: Bae Suzy, Park Bo-gum, Tang Wei, Jung Yu-mi, Choi Woo-shik and Gong Yoo. The film cares less about the tech than about a plain, aching question — is it honest to hold on to someone reality has already taken away? A soft, sorrowful piece of sci-fi about love and grief.
