Synopsis
Hide and Seek (숨바꼭질, 2013) is a South Korean thriller from Huh Jung you can watch online on iFILM. Café owner Sung-soo has it all — a lovely wife, two kids, a flat in a gleaming complex — plus a crippling fear of other people's dirt.
When he learns that his estranged older brother has vanished, Sung-soo visits the man's rundown apartment block and finds odd marks scratched beside the doorbells, as if someone has been cataloguing the residents. Soon the truth surfaces: strangers are living secretly inside other people's homes, tucked behind walls and inside closets. And the past Sung-soo worked hard to bury starts knocking on his own door.
First-time director Huh Jung builds dread from a plain urban fear — that you're not alone in your own house — and spills almost no blood, working through sound and tight, airless framing. The film was a domestic box-office hit and keeps you guessing right up to the reveal. A strong pick for fans of Asian thrillers rooted in everyday paranoia. Watch Hide and Seek online on iFILM.
