Synopsis
Confidential Informant (2023) is Michael Oblowitz's crime action-thriller, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Set at the height of the crack epidemic, it follows two narcotics detectives chasing the man who gunned down a fellow officer.
One of them, Moran, is dying. With little time left and a family to provide for, he hatches a grim plan: stage his own death in the line of duty so his wife and son collect the payout. He pulls a junkie informant into the scheme, but the deeper it goes, the clearer it gets that the rot runs all the way up the chain — and an internal affairs investigator is closing in on both partners. Dominic Purcell plays the cornered cop, with Nick Stahl alongside him and Mel Gibson and Kate Bosworth adding weight to a story about men who decide for themselves who answers for what.
