Synopsis
Operation Napoleon (Napóleonsskjölin, 2023) is an Icelandic-German thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Óskar Thór Axelsson directs this adaptation of Arnaldur Indriðason's novel. As a glacier melts, the wreck of a German aircraft that vanished at the close of World War II surfaces from the ice.
Lawyer Kristín, played by Vivian Ólafsdóttir, is dragged into the mess after her brother disappears near the glacier and she is framed for a killing she had nothing to do with. To stay alive she has to work out what that plane was carrying and why the CIA wants the wreck buried again. Iain Glen plays the agent steering the hunt across Iceland's frozen wastes and a string of borrowed identities.
