Synopsis
The Portable Door (2023) is an Australian fantasy comedy directed by Jeffrey Walker — watch online on iFILM. Paul, played by Patrick Gibson, lands a graduate placement at J.W. Wells & Co., a London firm that looks like any other dull office. It isn't. The partners are sorcerers, and management has decided that ancient magical practices could really benefit from modern corporate efficiency.
Christoph Waltz plays Humphrey Wells with his customary air of knowing exactly what's happening while revealing nothing useful. Sam Neill is his partner Dennis Tasman. Paul and fellow intern Sophie, played by Sophie Wilde, start piecing things together — who holds the power here, what's actually at stake, and whether their probationary period will end in a job offer or something considerably worse.
