Brothers Hazel and Jodie and their friend Phoebe need a speckled egg to bake a blackberry pie for their sick mom. The last box was just bought by a stranger. The kids go after it. The woods have other ideas. Somewhere in there they encounter Alice, a fire fairy who guards secrets most adults stopped believing in. Razooli made this on a very small budget and it shows — not as a flaw, but as grain on film, practical light through trees, and a sense of genuine danger that big-studio productions tend to sand away.
