Synopsis
My Brother's Wife (La mujer de mi hermano, 2005) is Ricardo de Montreuil's Latin American melodrama, available to watch online on iFILM. After ten years of marriage, Zoe (Bárbara Mori) feels the passion has drained out of her life with Ignacio.
Her husband is controlled and calculating, rations intimacy to Saturdays, and after all these years there are still no children. His brother Gonzalo — a brash, careless painter — stirs up everything Zoe thought she'd buried. Attraction becomes an affair, and each of the three plays a private hand. When Ignacio learns the truth, it turns out the wife isn't the only one keeping secrets.
Peruvian author Jaime Bayly wrote the script from his own novel, and beneath the glossy domestic drama sits a sharp look at lies, desire and the things couples never say out loud. Bárbara Mori carries it. Stream My Brother's Wife (2005) online on iFILM.
