TV-PGSeason 7
Synopsis
Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations Season 7 (2011) — sixteen episodes, watch online on iFILM. This is the season where Bourdain stopped treating the world as just a menu.
Haiti comes first: earthquake aftermath, a Sean Penn-run tent city, an active cholera outbreak. Kurdistan follows — crew in body armor, active conflict zone. Ukraine means a Chernobyl tour and a classified Soviet submarine base with Zamir Gotta. A Cambodia episode returns to a country Bourdain visited ten years earlier, measuring what changed in both directions. The Japan episode was filmed weeks before the March 11 earthquake; knowing what followed gives it a different weight entirely. El Bulli in Spain: a farewell dinner with Ferran Adrià before the restaurant closed for good. And Cuba, which was not easy for Americans to reach in 2011. Season 7 is the show at its most politically awake — food as entry point, everything harder underneath.
