Zeki Demirkubuz wrote and directed The Confession (İtiraf, 2001), a Turkish drama you can watch online on iFILM. Taner Birsel plays a man convinced his wife is keeping something from him. He waits. He pressures. He finally gets the confession he wanted.

It gives him nothing. What he hears is true, and he can't live with it. Demirkubuz strips the film down to almost nothing — slow takes, spare dialogue, no score to guide the viewer's feelings.
